Finding a special place is a beautiful beginning
Surrounded by scenic alpine plateau, mountains range and pristine creeks. Roam Wild Yukon trek base camp is located at 1200m in altitude, 25 min from Whitehorse. Travelling the area is a great joy and privilege, it offer an endless playground with a variety of terrain and trails, connected to a 410 acres of grazing land, it is a paradise for horses to enjoy. We welcome you with open heart to our simple way of living, off grid, back to the roots in a small cozy off grid Yurt or traditional Yukon cabin .

OWNER AND GUIDEÂ Â Â Veronique Boileau
Outdoors and horse riding guide as well as musher living off grid for 12 years now since she adopted Yukon as her land moving from Quebec. Veronique roams the mountains with her string of packhorse behind her or her sled dogs team, leading guests in some of the most beautiful remote wilderness. Highly skilled in backcountry travel, interpretation of the flora, fauna, and survival skills it is with a real passion that she will share her knowledge, love of the land and crazy stories on your journey. Through all her travels her priority has always been the care and the sincere connection with the animals living with her.

This is what drive her to initiate this project. Owner and certified guide of a previous company, Yukon Shinevalley Expedition offering remote back riding expedition, she took a turn to be able to explore the backcountry hiking on foot. Her goal, opening horizons to a wider range including now families and young’s in the exploration of the Wild. Presently teaching at Wild School, she is a hard believer that nature can inspired, forge reflection and be a great teacher in a wide spectrum of life
